Antique Katana sword in Ornate Mounting
NBTHK Hozon certificated (Well Preserved certificate)

A quality old Katana sword from SAMURAI STORE TOKYO. A complete set of antique Katana long sword and ornate mountings in super excellent condition. Authentic forged Tamahagane steel blade made by swordsmith Osafune Sukesada in 1577, Tensho period, Sengoku Warring States era. A Hozon paper certificate for the "Preservation Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society) comes with it. Inscription of the swordsmith, location, and completion time (August 1577) are engraved on both sides of the blade tang. The great Gunom-Midare wavy tempered line pattern on the blade. Comes in a stunningly beautiful ornate mounting, including an iron openwork Tsuba handguard and a pair of golden hilt ornaments finished with gold inlay. NBTHK issued a Hozon certificate for ornate mourning. A Shirazaya wooden storage holder comes with.
The blade comes with a Certificate of NBTHK Japan Sword Preservation Society - Hozon Paper (Well-preserved sword)
BLADE:Authority/Registration# 7271
*This number means that the blade is verified and registered as an authentic Japanese sword by the board of education and public safety commission.
