Antique suit of armor Edo Shogun period w/ Tokubetsu-Kicho Certificate
A stunning antique armor on display at SAMURAI STORE TOKYO. A quality antique armor from the mid-Edo period (1700s). The cuirass consists of two iron plates, divided, and finished with leather shoulder guards. The Momonari, or peach-shaped, iron kabuto helmet features remarkable side wooden horns and a Fukikaeshi ear guard, finished with one of the very traditional crests, "Mokko," in gold.
A certificate comes with this item. The Tokubetsu Kicho paper certificates granted by The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armor. Storage boxes, display stand(new), and all pieces shown in the catalogue come with.
