Antique Daisho Katana & Wakizashi
A pair of matching swords in Ornate Mounting
w/ 3 NBTHK Kicho paper Certificates (Important Swords and Antique Mounting )
Swordsmith: KANENOBU (katana) & KABOKU (wakizashi)
A quality Katana and Wakizashi swords set from SAMURAI STORE Tokyo. Very stunning complete matching set of antique Katana (long sword) and Wakizashi (mid sword) from Edo period 1600-1800's. Both blades have stunningly beautiful irregular zig-zag tempered line patterns. Both blades and ornate mountings have certificates by NBTHK. Katana (long blade) has an inscription of sword smith on tang. Each blade comes in the same ornate mountings and metal fittings. A NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho special certificate was issued for the set of Tusba handgurards, Menuki hilt ornaments, pommels, and a Kozuka (utility knife on wakizashi scabbard). It is very rare that a pair of ornate mountings have a NBTHK certificate. Blades and all metal fittings are in great condition. The head of scabbard of Katana (long one) is damaged as shown on the photos. Now this set is on display and up for sale at SAMURAI STORE TOKYO. Please reserve your visit to see this item!
